COMMUNITY EVENT: 2021 Opioid Education Symposium

Lincoln Memorial University will host the Opioid Education Symposium (OES2021) online on April 19, 2021.

The theme is Pain and Symptom Management: Striking a Balance and will have a great line up of speakers and panel members.

Learning outcomes:

  • Differentiate the role of opioids and adjunctive measures for palliative and end of life care.
  • Differentiate the roles of interdisciplinary group members along with clear case examples. illustrating how to effectively collaborate as a member of the health care team to achieve optimal patient care.
  • Recognize from both clinical and holistic perspectives, the devastating factors contributing to opioid misuse both regionally and nationally.

Students from osteopathic medical education, physician assistant, family nurse practitioner, pharmacy and social work programs are welcome to attend. All interested course directors, community leaders, community partners, and other trained medical professionals are also invited to attend this free event.
